He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。依照中国的现行法律，老年人的合法权益在于赡养人依法履行赡养义务。然而有很多像周振龙一样的失独者，由于失去了天然的赡养人，法律赋予他们的养老权益几乎成为空白。在社会福利仍然处于稀缺的中国，失独者想要在养老院或福利院安度晚年，想要获得资格并支付费用更是困难重重。更加针对性的养老和补助方案，成为了失独群体的一致诉求。 面临政策缺失的困境，中国各地的失独者渴望实质性的变革。针对失独者的社会定位和经济补偿等核心诉求，辽宁失独者于2013年发表《全国部分失独公民关于请求修改《计生法》的公开信》并获得1800余人联合签名支持。 2013年5月，对政策出台的期待多次落空之后，面对遥遥无期的等待，孙晓瑞和全国各省市的400余名失独者不顾当地计生和公安部门的劝阻，踏上了赴京维权之路。。
