本片是导演扬•特洛尔1971年的名作《大移民》的续篇，两部电影均改编自Vilhelm Moberg的The Emigrants系列小说。本片取材此系列的后两部小说，The Settlers 和The Last Letter Home，讲述一批瑞典移民在19世纪中期的明尼苏达州建造家园的故事。Follows a fictionalized version of Kevin Hart, as he tries to become an action movie star. He attends a school run by Ron Wilcox, where he attempts to learn the ropes on how to become one of the industry's most coveted action stars.。讲述藏族女出租车司机德吉梅朵因意外撞上了与自己情同姐妹的藏族小女孩嘎嘎，并导致其死亡。德吉梅朵不忍遭受良心谴责，最终勇敢走上自首的道路。。
